Katy Perry - Hot N Cold
Written in the key of G major,[4] "Hot n Cold" is a pop and dance-pop song which utilizes guitars and synthesizers.[5][6][7] It has a length of three minutes and forty seconds (3:40),[8] and runs at a moderately fast tempo of 132 beats per minute.[4] The lyrics of the song address a lover of Perry whose mood swings are affecting the couple's relationship. The song opens with Perry confronting her former partner over his frequent changes of mind, singing "You change your mind like a girl changes clothes / Yeah you PMS / Like a bitch, I would know". In the chorus, she uses antonyms to describe her partner's mood changes, with the chorus of the song including the lines, "You're hot then you're cold / You're yes then you're no / You're in then you're out / You're up then you're down".[9]
It's a question with no real answer, unless you're willing to flip a coin and roll with one of the two relatively even sides. Assuming the question has a binary answer, of course. My point in this long, meandering, intentionally wishy-washy commentary is that most of the time we'll be somewhere in the middle on issues. That's just a fact of life. So yes, we're hot and we're cold, but we're also usually lukewarm and cool. Binary has its place, and that place is not center-stage in our ways to view the world. The sky may very well be falling, or not falling, or only falling a little; we should keep that in mind next time someone frames an issue as a case of only A or B. Go ahead and get comfortable up there on that fence.
This song is pretty simplewhen me and my ex were going out people at school would say it's about usits basically katy talking about a bf/ex... Saying that they used to be amazing 'we used to be just like twins so insync'but now he's all over the place and doesn't know what he wants (the chorus) 'we right we break up we kiss we make up' they are all over the place and don't know what they want in each otherhe changes his mind too much for her to handle
The interpretation is very simple. The guy she sings about is a major jerk.. to put it nice. Just read the lyrics he's so hot and cold clearly referencing someone with a PD. No one can relate to him even if they try, he'll never let them. So he never will have any solid relationships in life. I guess it's a good thing she decides not to marry him. Now she knows she must stay away from him. Enough is enough with your roller coaster. Come back when your not so phony.
It's about how someone's (probably a boyfriend) so indecisive, like when she says, "You changed your mind, like a girl changes clothes" and girls changes clothes a lot, and also whe she says "You're hot and your cold. You're yes and you're no. You're in and your out. You're up and you're down. You're wrong when it's right. You're black and it's white. We fight, we break up. We kiss, we make up.". And the song is talking about also that because her boyfriend is so indecisive, he used to want her at first but now he doesn't. 59ce067264
