Activating with your Autodesk account

If you have a single-user subscription for AutoCAD OEM 2019, you can activate it by signing in with your Autodesk account. This is the easiest and most convenient way to activate your software. Here are the steps to follow:

Open AutoCAD OEM 2019 on your computer. You'll find it in the Start menu (if you have Windows) or in the Applications folder (on macOS).

Click Sign In on the Free Trial window.

Enter your Autodesk ID and password and click Sign In. If you don't have an Autodesk account, you can create one for free.

Select your license type (single-user or multi-user) and click Next.

Click Finish on the confirmation window. Your software is now activated and ready to use.

Activating with a serial number and product key

If you have a perpetual license for AutoCAD OEM 2019 or an education license and are offline, you need to activate your software with a serial number and product key. You can find these numbers in your Autodesk Account or in the email confirmation you received when you purchased your software. Here are the steps to follow:

Open AutoCAD OEM 2019 on your computer.

Click Enter a Serial Number on the Free Trial window.

Enter the serial number and product key and click Next.

Select I have an activation code from Autodesk and click Next.

On a separate device that has internet access, go to https://registeronce.autodesk.com and enter your serial number and product key.

Copy the request code from AutoCAD OEM 2019 and paste it into the website.

Click Generate Activation Code and copy the activation code from the website.

Paste the activation code into AutoCAD OEM 2019 and click Next.

Click Finish on the confirmation window. Your software is now activated and ready to use.

Tips and Warnings

Make sure you enter the serial number and product key exactly as they appear in your Autodesk Account or email confirmation. Do not use spaces or hyphens.

An internet connection is required to activate your software with a serial number and product key. If you are offline, you can request an activation code from another device that has internet access.

Autodesk no longer supports manual offline authentication for 2021 products and later. If you have a perpetual license for a 2021 product or later and want to use it offline, activate your software by going online one time to register. You can then use the software offline.
